The N-Z of Me!

Saturday, 7 October 2017

Aaaaaand we're back. In case you missed it, I wrote a first part to this post last month in September (which you can read here), and today I decided it was time to post the second part! I actually found this tag really fun to write, but it was a challenge. I didn't want to just list things that I liked - items or brands -, but instead wanted to share snippets of my personality and traits, and parts of life that mean a lot to me.

Hopefully you learned a little bit more about me, and if you still want to know more, I recently posted The TMI Tag over on my channel!

N IS FOR NIGHT GLO

One of my favourite songs by Foxes (altho not my ultimate fave - that honour goes to White Coats). It's so pretty and dreamy. Her entire debut album is amazing and I can't recommend it enough.

O IS FOR OPERA

Not gonna lie I couldn't think of anything for O and so thought I'd share how much I just don't get or particularly like opera from what I've seen of it. I know I should be astounded by the vocalists that do opera work, but I'm just not. Like it just doesn't appeal to me at all!

P IS FOR POKÉMON

I've grown up with Pokémon, and used to play Blue on my brother's old, brick-like Gameboy. I haven't ever stopped loving it, although I admit Moon has taken me a while to get through - longer than I'd like to admit! I'll still buy the next game though, and the game after it. I really wish Nintendo launched some awesome big project for the switch, like a real big open world version of Pokémon. Although the graphics have changed and it does feel more and more like a truly 3D version as time goes on, I'd love to see a really vast, HUGE world for us to traverse as trainers. This franchise will always be a part of me - literally as well as figuratively, as I have a Cubone skull tattooed on my arm.

Q IS FOR QUOTE

I'm a big fan of words, and if I sat and thought about it, I could come up with countless quotations that I absolutely adore. I love reading, I love writing, and I love making a picture from words.

R IS FOR REGRETS

I try not to carry regrets with me through life. If I think about it - yeah, sure, there are things that I may wish I'd handled differently and stuff, but it makes you crazy when you start thinking like that. So, to put it simply, I don't. I don't like to dwell on this sort of thing, so I try to push it to the back of my mind if it ever comes up. I can't change what has already passed.

S IS FOR SALEM SABERHAGEN

I've said it once and I've said it about fifty times since - I truly believe that Salem Saberhagen is my spirit animal. I can relate to the sassy, sarky wizard-turned-black-cat on so many levels and he thinks in much the same way as me. If you don't believe me, read this post!

T IS FOR TIRED

I'm literally always tired. Always. Probs to do with my heavily carb-based diet, and my lack of exercise, I imagine, contributes too. But hey, at least I'm always in that cosy, sleepy state - I barely ever have issues sleeping!

U IS FOR UNKNOWN

Whilst I don't consider myself a controlling person, I do like to be in control - of myself and my life, but not so much the people in it or the entire world. It sounds very contradictory but the fact is, I harbour a real fear of the unknown because it's not in my control. Anything could happen. Anything is possible. I should look at this with positivity and brightness - but I look at it with worry instead.

V IS FOR VENTRILOQUIST

Just me or are the puppets for these motherfuckers absolutely terrifying? Gross. Get away from me.

W IS FOR WEDDING

Ask me about kids and I'll laugh, but I would really like to get married one day, and I actually didn't ever really think I'd say that. I've never been a particularly committed human being and I've never really pictured myself walking down the aisle. But the idea of building a home, having fur kids and continuing to create a life together with Jack fills me with so much joy I can't even comprehend it. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us!

X IS FOR XENIATROPHOBIA

Every time someone does this challenge, X ends up being 'x-ray', but since I have no memory of getting an x-ray done (although I have when I was a kid), I tried to look for something different. It took me forever to find something suitable, and even now this is a bit of a cheat - I don't have a true fear of seeing doctors I don't know, but I really fucking hate it. My doctor is the only doctor I've ever trusted, so I don't like it when the occasion rises where I have to talk to others about something or seek their advice.

Y IS FOR YIELD

Something that I don't do easily. Have I mentioned I'm a bit of a stubborn asshole?

Z IS FOR ZOOS

You don't have to agree with me but I really enjoy visiting zoos. Whilst I do think some of them are ridiculous - Edinburgh being a prime example of this as some of the enclosures are just far too small -, I do love to visit them. I think it's exciting getting to see all the different animals and I feel like a big kid. The zoos in Amsterdam and Dublin have been some of my favourites so far.

That's a wrap for this post! I hope that you guys liked it and learned a little more about me. Why not leave a fact about yourself in the comments below?
