Despite the optimism I had in the opening paragraph of my last blog post, it's not exactly feeling like summer yet here in Scotland, it's mostly just starting to become mild. Regardless, I'm starting to break out the sun kissed bronzed-up beauty look, and today I thought I'd share some lush picks you can add to your make-up routine to add a flush of bronze shimmer to your skin.

I'm a massive fan of the Collection Eyes Uncovered palette, and in particular this Nude Bronze one, which has to be my favourite and most-used. The shades are beautifully pigmented and easy to blend - pair these shades with a base like Maybelline's Color Tattoo in Permanent Taupe, and you've got yourself a match made in heaven. They're long lasting and feel so soft and smooth on the skin. There's some fallout from the darker shades, but it's easily cleaned up with the sweep of a fresh fan brush. This 6-shade palette is not only travel friendly and tiny in size, but it contains everything you need to take a fresh-faced day look into the evening by adding plenty of smoke and shimmer.

One of my favourite nail polish lines, the Molten Metal nail paint range boasts lots of shimmer and metallic shine with a long-wearing formula that resists chipping for a week. I did a full review on this shade here which you can read if you want to go in-depth, but this is the perfect nail colour for not only the festive season but also for the summer months of sun-kissed skin and bronze shimmers. The flat brush means you can coat your nails in one stroke and it only takes two coats for opaque shimmer and a lasting formula.

Another Barry M gem I've mentioned before on the blog, in a now-deleted post, these bold waterproof eye pencils are so good and make the most stunning opaque, transfer-proof base for your lips. For a subtle brightening of the eye area, try this pencil in your inner corners or on the waterline. They are creamy and bold with beautiful pigmentation and fab staying power, especially on the skin (more so than the waterline).

I bought this in Dublin two years ago now and it's still my favourite bronzing powder. Its subtle shimmer is enough to give a cute summer bronzed glow, and I love how buildable it is - it's not the most pigmented right off the bat and takes some layering to get it to your desired coverage. I'm a big fan of the design of the compact and the texture of the powder itself. If you're looking for subtle shimmer, this powder might just be for you. Sadly Catrice is mega difficult to get a hold of in the UK though, so you might be in for a bit of work!

Again, I've mentioned this beaut on the blog before. Just back in March I wrote a post on MUA's top 5 products, and this beautiful highlighting stick made the list. Easy to travel with or to pop in your handbag, this stick formula is the kind of highlight you can just glide on and go, with its super smooth and creamy formula all you need to do is blend the edges away a little with your fingertips and you're good to go, with an effortless glow that's dreamy af. It also comes with a lot of product so it should last you a good while!

What are your picks for bronzed and shimmery beauty? Have you tried any of the ones I've mentioned today?
